FMP Planning and Preparation

When be diverse enough and preparing for my final major project, I thought about past concepts that I hadn't explored fully. In past work, I brushed on the concept of the public sphere vs the private, so I wanted to choose a project that would allow me to research this further. My first project idea was domesticity, particularly how people act at home.

I decided that this topic might be limiting and I could struggle to create diverse and interesting visual research. I took my ideas about how people act at home vs in public and moved on to the topic of concealment, as I feel like people can conceal their true selves around others.

I looked at a wide range of contexts within concealment and after a tutor review, I expanded my list of ideas for visual research. I decided to go with this topic as I find it the most exciting and it could lead to many diverse outcomes.
